I have been taking Guitar lessons with Gary since July 2017 and he  helps me enjoy learning how to play the guitar, and he also also makes me laugh during my lessons, and I always look forward to my lessons with Gary.

I was doing well in my lessons and enjoyed them so much that  my Mum bought me a sparkley red Squier Telecaster electric guitar, which I will be using much more during 2020.
Sometimes my fingers won't go where they should be on the strings, but  Gary sorts that out for me and gives me a way to remember.
Learning an instrument my mum can't play is fun too.

"Gary has also helped me to perform a special song for my mum's birthday with Over 100 Guests attending, it was my first public performance and  I had only being playing the guitar for a year which was great - Thanks Gary.

During this 2020 Coronavirus "Lockdown" Gary has made sure I still manage to continue with my regular lessons, via video lessons on Zoom, which is great.

Before I started with Gary i had only been playing for a week and had no knowledge of guitar and how to play it, but after only 6 months of lessons i can now play full length scales all over the fretboard, and full length songs that when i first heard before even buying a guitar i thought would take me years to learn.

Every lesson over the 6 months has been worth every penny.

​

Gary is a very versatile Guitarist and can help you with any genre of music you want to learn, and him helping me to play "Metal" has benefitted me more then any other teacher, who might well have taught me music via hours of of styles that were just not or me.

I would recommend Gary's lessons to everyone of any age or experience, as he lets you learn at your own pace and you will be learning and playing in no time at all.

I got my Guitar for Christmas 2018 and really wanted to have lessons, so my Mum found Gary's number and he comes round to our house to teach me.

I started to practice the "Easy" versions of chord shapes but wanted to try out the full versions, so Gary gave me songs and charts with the full chords and I have even begun to try out the Bar chords too, as I really like them.

Gary says I am playing very well and way beyond what he would expect from a 6 year old.

I think Gary is a really good teacher and I really like it when he plays the Electric Guitar as well.

Mum says.......

From a parents perspective, I am really happy with how Nathan has progressed so quickly playing the Guitar, and he really looks forward to his lessons and always wants to impress Gary, who keeps the lessons interesting  and is flexible with regards to lesson times where possible.

Gary is always very encouraging and has given Nathan a really positive attitude with regards to his learning.

As an Adult new to learning a musical instrument, I found that it can be quite a daunting experience, but I have found Gary to be very encouraging and patient during my Tuition with him.

I have found the lessons to be very positive and motivating, and am now already beginning to notice real improvements within regards to my playing, and after only a relatively short time too.

I would recommend Gary to anyone irrespective of their age as a wonderful ambassador to the joys of learning Guitar.

Gary makes my Guitar lessons fun and I always end up laughing and having a good time.

I started out by playing a Ukelele that I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas present.

It was my favorite gift and I could not stop playing it and I began to make a little progress on my own, then my Mum went online and found Gary to help me to learn more about it and improve my playing.

Unlike other Teachers, as soon as I  walked in I was comfortable and felt really exited to have the chance to improve my playing, and with Gary's teaching I progressed very well and so quickly too.

​

My lessons are always fun and light hearted and if I don't understand something, it is all explained in detaiI and then I completely understand by the time I leave my lesson.

After a while I decided that I wanted to learn the Guitar with Gary as well, so I settled on an Electro Acoustic, and I would not have got the right one for me if it were not for his advice.

I am already progressing very well on Guitar now too, and I am so happy with the outcome.

I always look forward to my lessons every week as Gary is funny and encourages me a lot, and I always learn something new.

Gary has been teaching our son Jonny for over a year now and his patience and Teaching skills really are shining through with regards to Jonny's new found Guitar skills, and he has  just recently passed his RGT Grade 1 with Distinction which is all down to Gary, who listens to what what we require from him every week, and he always keeps extensive records of Jonny's developments on a regular basis.

Jonny happily goes off to practice each evening and really enjoys what he is learning.

We would highly recommend Gary as a Guitar Tutor to anyone.

I'm something of a born again bass player and having played guitar a little in my teens, I wanted to return to music in my later years and chose to focus on the bass.

I picked up a little using books, instructional videos together with the internet and noodled around at home, but then I was asked by a friend if I fancied playing in his band, having struggled without a bass player, and then knew I needed to step up my game.

​

And so I found Gary who took the patience to understand what it was I wanted from my playing.

He showed me that playing in a band was more about just learning songs, it was about understanding the sort of music  I wanted to make and how to play with proper technique to achieve my goals and how music works, so that I understood what it was I was playing. But, most of all, to have fun.

Gary's tuition has brought my playing on significantly.

I now have over a dozen gigs under my belt. play in two bands and more importantly,.... I am loving playing my instruments.

Gary is a very brilliant teacher.

I new nothing about the guitar or how to read music before I went for lessons with him.

In a very short space of time I am now on my 2nd book which is the RGT Preliminary book  and I can read music and can play a few songs as well.

Gary is a very patient and knowledgeable tutor, he helps me along the way when I’m really stuck, and when I have done well he recognises it and praises me.

Billy loves his Guitar lessons with Gary and looks forward to them every week as he makes the lesson fun for him, and despite the fact he is only 5 years old his attention is always maintained for the entire lesson.

Billy began his lessons in January 2018 and his improvement and progress have been amazing to see.

Gary always encourages Billy's love of the Guitar and music and his passion is infectious and Billy loves how he always has something different to try during each lesson.

Gary is the third guitar tutor I’ve tried learning with and I am a complete beginner on the guitar.

 

I’ve advanced further with him in the short time he’s been teaching me than I have with any other tutor.

He is encouraging with his praise, and honest to say “I can’t learn the guitar for you, you’ve got practice.” As well being able to practice with him.

It’s the conversations we have about related topics that really help me understand what we are trying to achieve. I mentioned to him I was thinking of getting an electric guitar....“Send the links and I’ll have a look and give you my thoughts on them” he said and a couple of days later he drops me text with advice.

In this very busy world having an opportunity to learn and do something that’s allows you to focus on one thing and forget everything else that is going on is just fantastic, so having Gary, who passionate about guitar and music and having an opportunity to learn from him is a real bonus.

If you’ve been thinking about learning guitar do it you won’t regret, Gary is by far the best tutor I’ve had.
